Data retention
Updated September 4, 2026
How long each kind of data lives, and how it dies.
The mail
Your agent's mail is kept until you delete the inbox. There is no automatic expiry: the console can only show what still exists. Delete the inbox and the mail goes with it.
The short-lived things
- Sign-in codes: 10 minutes, and five wrong attempts kill one.
- Connection links that never connected: 24 hours, then they expire.
- Rate counters: keyed by IP address, gone with the hour.
Mailgun's copies
Every message passes through Mailgun, a Sinch company. Their copy of a message body lives up to 7 days; their delivery logs live up to 30 days. Ours lives until you delete the inbox.
Where it lives
Google Cloud, in the United States region us-central1.
Deletion
Delete the inbox from the console and the inbox, its mail, and its connection link go together. You can also email hello@mailerati.com from your registered email address.
